OK, part of me is embarrassed to post this... I don't know badges, but I've had a few. So, this #50 Tank Badge sure has the look and feel of a late war badge to me... The zinc construction, the bumpy textured feel it has on the front and back, a little bit of wear, etc.
BUT, I've never seen such a catch, and the tank is held on by bent post, not domed rivets like I seen.
So, is it good or bad? The source was great (a family membrer who said his Dad got them as a kid 40 or 50 years ago - but I know fakes have been around a LONG time) and I did not pay too much if fake... add that to the cost of my "militaria education".
Kind regards,
