    Hi Martin,

Sorry to use your photo without permission but its such a great capture of history and I am currently in the throws of creating a similar uniform for display on my mannequin.

    Kindest Regards,

Two new addditions to my Kriegsmarine collection....

      -Kapitän zur See Julius Steinbach

      -Generaladmiral Conrad Albrecht

He was second in command in the Kriegsmarine after Grossadmiral Raeder.

And another one most likely Kriegsmarine. It has maker's label on the reverse "Grabow & Matthes, Kiel".

                  Thanks KFS.

I really like to see these postwar KM/BM photo's that show the 57 type awards in wear.

Thanks for the link to his "career" also.

                  Cheers,Martin.

My favourite KM bar - and totally unorthodox. Not actually against regulations as it is a late 1945 bar and regulations had technically ceased to exist! He was entitled to both the Minesweeper Badge and the Marine FrontSpange, so I've never been able to figure out which the M represents.

                    Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

                        Hi Mike,

                        Interesting bar.

I can't say I like the combination though... even in '45 rules weren't out the window.

Or a nice way of saying fake No worries.

That's why I like it - because it's so interesting! It's part of a documented grouping with all the awards - and the last ribbon is Croatian, not Social Welfare!

                          Regards

                            Hi Mike,

                            Interesting as in interesting

The last ribbon sits high above all the others as if it is hiding something beneath it. Have you had a peak? It also looks like its had something pinned on there at sometime...

The big M what is that made out of? The under ribbon looks as if the colour has run too.

What is the back ground of this bar and any photos in your grouping of it in wear?

                            Many thanks.

                            Alan.

A few more most likely to be Kriegsmarine.
