Legion Condor and Spanish Volunteer Medals

Just wondering if these are period medals? Never handles these before. Thanks for any opinions...

The Blue Division medal is not a war time piece. It looks like the first issue made in Spain in the 50´s, but I´m not very sure, as some details are not right to me, and maybe a copy of this model made in the last years. Not completly sure, sorry.
The 1936-39 medal looks ok for me. No problem with this.

I second that. This one does not conform to original ones.

With regard to the Spanish Civil War Campaign medal, I believe Egana (or another company with the Egana dies) continued to make the medal into the 1980s (perhaps later).

This SCW campaign medal posted by galizien is a period one, not a copy.

Greg, By "period" do you mean awarded immediately following the SCW? If so, how do you tell a period medal from one made from the same dies in the 1980s?

Yes, I do. Some diferences do exist in clasp, ribbon, finishing, hardware and details.
Anycase, period medals are still quite cheap and copies are more dificult to find than original, fortunatly.
                Regards

Thanks Greg. IMO, the pricing of SCW Campaign medals is one of the craziest in the hobby. At the SOS for example, I saw examples priced from $35 to more than $300 each!

Dear Nibelungen, your medal was not made in the 50´s but in the 40´s, as it´s an original from Díez & Compañía, manufactured by Government contract just after the return of the Blue Division. This is the only authentic version given by the spanish Government to the veterans. Others are replacement pieces or fakes simply.
Your case is a good one too.
                              Regards
                              Greg
