    Gold Wound Badge Help

    Wound badges are out of my league. Any chance this one is original?

    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>

    Zinc badge with cast hinge and catch. It is unmarked.

      What a strange badge, it has many scuffs.
      Is looking like an unmarked '65' The area above the catch is scratched? In that place usally are the markings by this maker.
      Does have the vertical line above the hinge? If yes, you must worry about this badge.

      I'll post some pics:

        Chris, the photos are somewhat off on color because the pictures were taken in direct sunlight. What looks silver is actually the dull grey zinc showing through. The area above the pin that appears scratched, in hand, doesn't look like something intentionally done. That and the fact that the gold wash is not disturbed in that area. I'm stumpped, but I'll look for the lines you mention soon as I get home. Thanks for your help!
