The 1938 MÄRZ would be a zink that has lost its bronze wash.

Hi Pieter,

I would be very worried if I saw a 13 March medal in bronze. These only existed in silver. Judging by the brass color showing on the worn areas of the figures my best guess would be an original early buntmetall example.
