    Medal Bar

    Hi guys,

I could use a little assistance regarding this bar. Does this look ok, or is this messed with? Your thoughts are much appreciated!

    Regards,

I do not like the combination of the 25 and 12 year medal I have never seen a 12 and 25 combo without a Hindy cross or something else as well the condor legion bars should have both Spanish Military Merit medal & Spanish Civil War medal.

The medals all look ok though

I think it's a recent put together: Mint, loosely draped ribbons with squared off bottoms, together with unevenly aged medals (near mint to ground-dug). IMO, I'd pass on it.

Thanks you guys. I´m still thinking of buying it, the seller wants 250€ for the piece. Which one would you consider to be grounddug? Maybe the Spain piece?

                Thanks again.

I think no need for hindy cross. He can serve in army after ww1. Still hat lot of time to earn 25 years medal with no problem.

However mint EK II class and worn rest ... hmm.. maybe replaced ?

                  but 250 is fair price.

Pretty sure this is a recent put-together bar, the same pin, backing cloth and overall shape are the same as many recent 1957 put-togethers that have hit the market in recent years!! -Nigel

1919-1939 is 20 years by my math. LS awards stoped being awarded in 1940 I believe. Even with the doubling for wartime that would give him 24 years max. The comments on the ribbons/construction are spot on. I'd think a recent put together.

Why your counting ends at 1939 ?? He served in Russia and could obtain 25 years at 1944, what is 25 years of service.

Because they quit awarding LS medals in 1940.

That is not correct. See LS medal on WA website.

Hope I will not receive again more infractions points since I disagree with you
And there is no source when awarding was stopped. So It seems end of awarding should be same as end of the Reich.
