Ribbon Bar Opinion Please

There are a lot of contemporary sales catalogues available, has this narrow type of metal backing been indentified in any of those?

if you do a search of 57 bars on t he 57 awards section you might find a match there!but as jacquesf says it probably a post war put together!!

You could only be awarded the EK2 once. Period.

The next award in that line would then be the EK1.

There is no period reason, (pre-1945), to have 2 EK2's on a ribbon bar.

Those are facts.

Now for my opinion (here's where it gets good ).

With these tab-type bars it's very easy to replace or substitute a ribbon bar, but it usually leaves very small scratch marks on the backing plate.

If you look at the middle ribbon, next to the tabs, you can see small scratches. This is what I think happened here. The middle ribbon was replaced at some point.

But as I said, this is just my opinion.
