check the ring it should have makers mark no1 if original. these were also made post war minus mm. copies are ten a penny.

any maker mark on ring. the finish looks a bit odd to me but could be the light. and im no expert on these or any other medal for that fact.

is the finish that shinny in the flesh. i prefer a duller look than that just my opinion thats all. makers mark dont always men its good or bad. again might want to get someone with a bit more knowledge

              Hi

I like this one a lot!!! Defiantly not a repro, the gilding looks good to me. It is in good condition and that is why the medal is this color. A good time period example.

Thanks Kenneth, wasnt quite sure as i believed the originals were quite 'crudely' made

                Thanks Mike

                  Hi

No there are some nice ones out there and they are hard to come by especially in this condition. Congrats on a very nice find.

I had never seen one of these medals in this condition. Very nice detailed and the mittelgold laquer is still present 99%.
And please gentlemen, don´t say more "if not maker mark not original". Only 10.000 of 65.000 of these medals made by the german firms during the war are marked on the ring (those made by Deschler).
I think this is a Steinhauer und Lück.
                    Best regards
                    Greg

As Gregorio said, only about 10.000 of near 50.000 medals was marked with the "1".

                      To me looks Ok.

I want one to me !!

                          Hello,

I never saw one Blue Division Medal with this finish. I will copy this photos for my archives.

                            Hi,

                            Very fine details indeed.
One of the best for sure.

I took these photos at my local dealers shop, he hadnt yet priced it as it had just come in and wasnt sure if it was a good one, i might try to pick it up, what do you think a sensible price is, i had a search but didnt turn much up
