    Memel campaign medal.

    Hello All,

I would like to show you this memelland medal.
Its a buntmetal version and the medal is 31,7 mm.
Whats interesting for me is that between the 2 man there is a letter stamp
Like a reversed B so enyone ever encouter that.
I know there a more variations and i,m believing this is a period medal.
Let me know what you think.

    Best regards,

I've got an Austrian Anschluss medal with the same "B" stamped between the men.

Thats the same B indeed,so maybe the same maker thats the only reason I have for the B this moment.
And your Austria is a original one if so thats a good sign for my Memel

          Best regards,

Another Anschluss medal on a bar with similar marking?

It almost looks like an anomaly on the blank before the medal was struck.

But! The reversed B is located in near identical locations on both medals.

Looks like an unintended flaw by the maker to me.

                        Just my two bits .

                          Hi,

I don't think, that these medals were contemporary.

If the reverse "B" is supposed to be an reversed imprint from the "B" in "OKTOBER" on the reverse side, what explains its presence on the Anschluss medal, which has no "B" on the reverse?
