Dear Doug,
I'm sure the answer to this will vary to a lesser or greater degree, depending on when and how much knowledge and expertise the collector has and what one collect's.
In my own personal experience and that shared by other members on here to me and otherwise the concensus is collectively negative.
Theres also a shop in Northamptonshire I'd be inclined to avoid if I was you, that you can trust me on, believe you me !!!! Having said that knowledge is your best defence and from time to time the odd 'prize' can be aquired from these dealers.
I've had to succumb to the fact the onus is on the buyer and not to be mislead by reputation and recommendation in books, as I was to certian British dealers, before I ever got a computer.
Regimentals for the like's of an inexperienced collector like me is a and there are few carnal verbs I could express it better with.
I read your post on the wound badge, If I was you send it back and get a refund; get a more convential, accepted form. And send it back registered of course and keep the original receipt and any emails, packaging etc.
Good luck,
Marcus
