Guess I need some help here: Is this Finnish German North Front Badge a good one? Feel free to give me your opinion, please.
Does anyone have more information about the history of this award?

There are 12 variants of this badge, this one (white 41-43 nordfront) being the most common. The price for these should be around 260 Euros.

Although you see photos of them in wear on the uniform, these were private purchase commemorative badges.

If you search the forum for 'Nordfront' 'Lapplandfront' and 'Eismeerfront' you'll find plenty of examples showing most if not all the variants.

They are quite wanted,atleast here in Finland.They always go fast when available somewhere.

Exactly.

And it feels to me that any version of this cross in decent shape goes fast in local auctions and webshops.

I still haven´t had one single cross with the text "Eismeerfront".

A couple of years ago I was bidding on one in a net auction, but the price skyrocketed, when the price was 450 € I stopped bidding. I think the final price was 560 €, but the cross was in nice condition.

IMO you don´t see the Eismeer ones so often.

Simon I have a fussy memory that it should excist 13 variants, but I might be wrong.

The Nordfront ones are IMO most common (but nowadays all these crosses are scarce, highly collected)

These are the variants i can think of.

Nordfront, white: 41-42, 41-43, 41-44
Nordfront black: 41-42, 41-43, 41-44
Lapplandfront: 41-42, 41-43, 41-44
Eismeerfront: 41-42, 41-43, 41-44

If my memory serves me correct there is one of the Lappland or Eismeer that also excists in black, I cannot remember which year, but I will see if I can get some info and post it here.

I think it is the elusive Eismeer that also excist in black, which if it´s correct would make 13.

I think you mean in white. I've only ever seen the Lappland and Eismeer in black and i have a black Lappland 41-44 myself.
