Luftschutz 2nd Class

Hi, I got this Luftschutz 2nd Class a while back and never checked its originality. I'm pretty sure its the real deal, but I have recently seen some very good fakes...

Also, any ideas how I could clean the metal around the date? Does the ribbon look original?
