......Great item. Love to see these items. You are dead on about the usefulness. I picked up a silver shot cup from Frank sometime ago, and it still sees it's share of 'spirits' at Birthdays, New Years and just about any ol' time I feel like knockin' back a few.
The inscription on it reads:
26. 8.39 - 31. 1.40
Offz. - Korps III/192
A very unique and practical item, for the important things in life.

what can i say? I can't tell you something about the details, but everybody here knows that these stein are fakes, also the similar ashtrees. You could find them a few years ago everywhere for 10,- Euro. I collect all about Luftschutz for 15 years and i don't like the way it is produced, i don't like the sign andsoon...
It's difficult to explain in english for me!

The only ones I have seen faked are the Imperial Reservistin Krugs. I rarely have seen for that matter any Third Reich bierkrugs at all on the market here aside from Luftwaffe squadorn ones that came in convolutes and were unquestionably good. The one pictured in the thread came out of hausauflosung ( estate clearance)here in Köln. I have never seen one available on the open market, and I spend 95% of my time unfortunately on the open market.

Interesting piece. If Luftschutz is correct in stating that it is a well-known fake, then it seems you would occasionally see the mug or items with that emblem for sale, but maybe not.Comment

I'm afraid I agree with Luftschutz; I've seen similar Krugs for sale with different appliqué decals on them and they all lacked the symmetry you would expect to see, especially on the swastika.WAF LIFE COACHComment
