    Help needed in identifying medal.

I have come across this medal which is unknown to me and would be grateful if anyone could identify it and advise me if they think it is genuine. I would also be grateful if someone could give me an idea of its value if it is genuine. It may be that I have posted this in the wrong section of the forum and if so I apologize. There are no makers' marks visible on the ring.
    Thanks,
    Peter.

I think this is a political propaganda token from the plebiscite of 13 January 1935. Try the Tinny fourm

            Hi

Does not look time period to me. It may be the image/lighting but I don't think so. The medal type is unsual, pitting of the medal, the ball shaped ring etc....

Here's a thread with 4 others ... 3 of them with different reverses.

                Hi(

This still does not fit the characteristics of a time period medal. I say

that is one thing I noticed 'the ball shaped ring '

This is more characteristic of a CW medal than anything German I have seen.

                    13 January 1935
On January 13, 1935 ninety percent of the electors vote for a re-union of the Saar with Germany instead of remaining under French control. The referendum is supervised by the League of Nations.

                    Could explain various reverses.

Thanks Kenneth, Darrell, byterock and Ro@m. On further looking at the medal closely, I noticed a mark resembling that of a seam running around the edge. I bid on it in auction but lost. It was only afterwards that I noticed the seam mark. I might be wrong, but does this indicate thatb it has been cast and is therefore a copy/fake?

Kind of reminds me of the free chek token from the worlds fair
