Your "badge" is the 1st type Polizei Cap eagle in gilt, which would be for Water & Traffic Police (or General officers). Fire Police also wore this style cap emblem, but only a General-level rank would have had it in gold. For some reason, there seem to be "alot" of these in gold around....possibly a large stash was found by liberating allied troops and widely disbursed.....don't think they're fakes....proper details and fold pins, nice addition to someones hat device collection.

I just want to be 100% sure that this one is ok before i,ll put it on E-stand.
