    What are these Bands?

Hope this is the best forum to ask this question. I got several of these little bands in a grouping of WW2 German items that a vet brought back, and am not even positive they are German - but they seem to be. 9 mm tall x 9 mm diameter aluminum bands have a logo, numbers, and what looks like a runic character. Any opinions would be appreciated.

They look like napkin holders. Can't tell because they seem to not be smooth on the inside.

Size-wise they are more like a leg band for a pigeon than a napkin holder.

Perhaps they are leg bands for a pigeon... Carrier pigeons were used by the Germans during the war.. its plausible???

pigeons are a long shot (that type of band was crimped) these looked rolled.

I would say they are for maintenance of areo engines or alike.

For marking of wires, tubing and cable so you can put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
