3 Place ribbon bar, is it Original?

    Hi Guys,

Sorry to have to ask for advice for something so small, but I am not sure if this is original or not. And do not want to add it to my collection unless it is authentic. I don't really collect these, but will keep this one if it is good. Looks too new to me, but I have no idea. Any opinions on it are appreciated

    Thanks,
    Rylan

        Rylan,

IMO no good. I've never seen a pin set-up like that. The LS eagle devices look strange as well. Also I would expect to see a WW1 Hindy ribbon with a 25 yr heer LS bar.

        Regards,
        AB.

Hi. I have seen the pin system an this is a 12yr and 4yr combo not 25yr.
To me the eagles are not original.

This is a perfectly good ribbon bar with two hollow-stamped eagles and an unpopular but not uncommon "saw-backed" mount.

Thanks for the replies, I guess this is kind of an "iffy" item.

There is nothing "iffy" about it. Nice original.

                    Rylan,

It seems that this type of pin set up (and the bar) is indeed correct as the others have said. I have come across 2 photos of them in T. Yanacek's new book on page 37 and 13. I apologise for my incorrect asessment.

You learn something new every day.

The saw tooth backings are unusual, but perfectly legit. I've got three or four that are configured exactly the same. If anything, the fact that it is an oddball backing speaks in it's favor.
