Thanks, Merdock. I have one, too, and have always kinda wanted to verify it somehow through a list of recipients. It's for an officer in 4SS Polizei Div. How bout yours?

Hi Jese, I take it that you know of the SS Officers Dienstalterliste? Not on the 'net yet, but reprints of various years lists can be purchased. Detlev sometimes has these in stock.
          Cheers, Ade.

Dienstalterliste accurately list all Ring Awards, though?

Hi Jesse, sorry for taking so long to reply to you. Yes, the SS Officers Dienstalterlistes catalog all the SS Officer Honour ring holders. Here is a link to fellow forum member Bernie Brule's excellent website. Go the the "research" page as this explains all about the dienstalterlists:

What is the name of the original holder of your ring? Do you have his full service records? If you do not wish to make this public, please drop me a PM.
              Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade!! Thanks for writing. I've got a late issue citation that I'm reasonably sure is legit, but ya never know... Don't have any other records with it, but this guy was with 4th SS Polizei, and actually survived the war. He is listed, and is mentioned in the 4th SS Polizei multi volume history. He was a medical officer, sometimes listed as the IVb; Dr. Wilhelm Reger. I can try and get you a scan. When I got this a number of years ago, it was somewhat rough, folded like maybe it was in a Soldbuch, and taped on the folds with that nasty old scotch kinda tape. Also had been wet at some point. Took me some real surgical talent to salvage it, but did so with virtually no damage. Signature is not a facsimile stamp, and has "13 Juni 1943" underneath it in the same writing and ink. Also has a 4th SS Polizei stamping in the lower left corner. Stock is heavy. One thing that throws me though is the inconsistencies in references to his rank.

Hi Jesse, the designation IVb in the German Armed forces = Divisional Surgeon.
Here is a link explaining these terms:
