An eclectic lot of badges, etc

I assume these are all bad but before I dump them in the "mistakes" box, anything redeemable?

I don't think ALL are bad, based on these photos. Can you show better photos (front and back) of each piece?

I'll take a chance and say the DRL sports badge is ok -- a reverse shot would be helpful.

No idea on the cloth. The sub is definitely bad and the para has a 57 pin set- up, but the planchet MIGHT be ok. Without seeing these in hand, I'd have to say I like the rest.

I like what I see so far of the Recon clasp; any chance for better pics of this particular piece?

                      hello

the luft breast eagle could be ok and too the panzer trap on a piece of hat, if you can, get outside or on a windowsill in some good light and take a few more shots

                      cheers

Not a stupid question at all! A planchet is the actual badge stamping itself. Actually, to be technical, a planchet is the metal piece onto which the badge is stamped, but in this case I'm using it to descibe the badge itself and not the fittings (hinge, pin, catch) attached to it.

The recon/air-sea rescue clasp is good and a nice one to boot. If you're going to throw it away - throw it in my direction

I agree, what I can see, it looks good to me. Is it the catch that you're questioning?
