Opinions wanted on this Heer 4 Year service medal

Hey guys, I wanted to hear your thoughts on this one. I've had it for quite a while, but was never totally sure about it. The backing looked like it may have been replaced? Anyhow, I would also like to know what an average value would be for this, as I'm probably going to sell it to help pay of some new stuff I have coming in. No big alarm bells for me.

The extra solder on the ring might of been placed just to strengthen it a bit perhaps or just a poor one that got out of the factory or one selected to be mounted in this way because of the poor solder job and the mounting hides it?
