Badges that exist, but are not proved!

Dear Friends,

I have read several articles on different badges that are not clearly proved to be pre -1945 in general.

What I mean are:
Balloon observer badge (Nice thread here just shor time ago)
Pilot's badge with round oak leaves
200 tank badge and so on...

Please post the names of the different badges you feel should be proved to be pre 1945 awarded and manufactured - When I have received appropriate list.... I think I'll post a poll.
Poll naturally does not tell us any facts, but it tells us what do we believe?

How is that?

- Collecting Finnish awards, German EK1's 1939, KVK1's w/o swords and Tirolian shooting badges.
I still need EK1's L/14 Screwback and Pinback.

Dear Jani,

Please include in that poll:

-Luftwaffe Tank Badge (regular and numbered)
-Luftwaffe CCC
-Luftwaffe Seekampfabzeichen
-numbered Luftwaffe Ground Assault badge

I may be wrong, but my understanding was that Eric Q. posted one SB with entries for:
-Luftwaffe Tank Badge
-Luftwaffe CCC

..... and if my memory serves me well he has also shown documents (from G. Petersen) of the above badges - but I can be wrong, so feel free to correct me

Dear Francois,

It is right that the two awards you mention were AWARDED (on paper) but it is highly doubtful that they actually were awarded as badges per se. I think the poll is about the actual badges, if they exist or not.

Another one that comes to my mind now is the Tieffliegervernichtungsstreifen.

An interesting point...

... to consider. The Model '57 Badges include the special 200 grade PAB, numbered Luftwaffe GAB's & Luftwaffe PAB's.... I know Helmut Weitze has a Luftwaffe Tank Badge on his site right now (un-numbered) with box, and an "Expertise" from Hartnung (??).

I think Forman's states that prototypes were made of these, but doubtfull if any were awarded.

Does anyone have access to an "official" list of '57 awards that were made/authorized by the West German Government? I have often wondered how that whole process went down...

Rick, Daniel has a list in this thread for the reissued medals and badges:

You are probably right, kind of "proof is in the picture", no? But still quiet dangerous as 10 years ago we didn't even know that docs were issued - another example is I think we only know 3 LW Ehrenblatt worn - 10 years ago no pics (maybe one) was kwnon.

But again, you are right, better stay focus on the badges
