    SS 4 Year Medal

    Gentlemen,

I apologize for the overwhelming amount of post about different awards, but i just got a camera that will take decent pictures of these awards. Here is a 4 year award. What do you think about this one?

    Thanks,

    Jeremiah

Does your new camera only take pictures from wierd angles? Try taking some head-on shots and try removing the ribbon so that we can see the suspension loop. That being said, the medal doesn't look very promising so far.

i agree , it looks like a fake, cant see much of a spine to the suspension ring & the teardrop suspender looks to thick. the details on the medal dont seem sharp enough and it looks to have the thick black painted finish usually seen n fakes, this can often be easily scratched off with your fingernail. heres a couple of shots of an original to comparess1.jpg

Knockoff, are you sure that yours is an original? Again, I would like to see better pictures, but from those posted, I notice a few details which would make me want to have a closer look ie. the shape of the oakleaves on the obverse & the lettering on the reverse. Also, it may be just the lighting, but, the Sigrunen on the obverse appear to have a stepped edging in your photo.

Could you show more pics of the upper ring, closeups from the segments? Front and reverse. I would agree that is something weird in this model, for now it have many red flags.

PS: An item sold by Detlev do not transform it in original.

Found it! Dont need more pics, sorry for the bad news but your model is a know fake with a better looking fix ring (if you see your´s model ring by front tries to be a Deschler, but by rear is like a P & L model). See this pics from my archive, is the same cast as yours:

                            Exactly what I was thinking.
