Maker 'HC', real name known?

Hi all,

I found the initials 'HC' on my Prague bar, and my Memel medal. Is there a real maker's name, or designer's name associated with the initials?

Hi Robert those are the initials of the designer and to my knowledge stand for Hanish-Concee. These intials are found on many of the prague bars (but not all) and some memel awards. Some collectors only accept the awards with the initials. Very nice , all the best

Hi Robert a very nice original I have one exactly like it marked H.C on the front shrubbery and with the L/12 middle, on the reverse, near the bottom. If you know what i mean . All the best

Yes, I believe I saw your bar when I was browsing the older threads. These bars are very interesting. I wonder how many other medals the initials 'HC' appear on besides the Memel?

Thank you Stu,

I've added comment and photos of a court mount to the link provided. The Type B bar is being considered a period piece by more collectors, and this in fine by me. I have a court mount, which I've included in the link, that has this type bar affixed to it. Special provision was made in the mounting plate for the thin prongs to protrude through to affix it to the mount. The worksmanship is excellent, and I feel it is a period application, IMO.
