The medal is ok, and the box seems also an original one. But as byterock says, it would be a good idea to post more pics of the lid and the bottom of the case. Then we could give a final verdict...

I am continually amazed at how many of these there are on the market, cased (with labels) and in very good condition

Well me thinks there war a very large store of them in the Reich Chancellery when it was captured and it became a very common trading piece?

There are all sorts of period pics of Tommys with two three or even four pinned to their chests as a joke.

You're right David. I've one from Souval Wien, and the condition is excellent (also with the label to the lid)! Many of these have been in my hands and they're not difficult to find. It seems as if someone has found out a secret store of these kind of boxes as byterock states!
