Does anyone have any information about the mine rescue medal as in what to look for in an original example? I did a forum search but didn't get much help. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, DEL

Firstly the type with the frosted high areas and mirror finish on the lower areas. Notice the tiny mount between the suspension ring and the top of the medal:

The price of the medals is approx €450/ $650 nowadays. This is the pinback version which costs around €1700 and sells very quickly....
