Help Needed for identification - Eagle Award

    Hello all,

a friend of mine passed this over for identification but i have not seen this before. Could someone help identify what this is and whether is this a genuine item?

    1. What is this?
    2. What is the value?
    3. Is this a genuine or a repro item?
    4. Any historical significance?
    5. Its rarity?

    Your learned opinions please.

thank you. you may PM me as well. thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Mil

I have never encounered anything like this before.

Looks somewhat like an early SA/Party Standard eagle, although the swastika looks a bit sloppy.

      What's the size?
      Regards,
      Chris

Here's another one who has never seen this badge before or anything like it.

Does the badge really look like that, or is it the pics?

Everything about this badge looks sloppy; the swaz, the eagle looks more like a chicken, the overall finnish lacks definition - especially the wreath.

It would probably be worth your while posting this in the Tinnies forum.

          hi mike,

thank u. the award looks exactly as it is. i do not have a better photo, although there was once i handled it myself from a dealer. it was heavy and solid, but i do agree the craftmanship looks not very good. and the eagle's head does look like a chicken now!

any further information on this will be appreciated. thank you!

            Hi,

            here is my opinion:

            1. Better pictures could be helpful!

            2. Why are you not able to say something about the size, it could be helpful!

            3. German carnival societies have the session from November (11.11. 11:11) in one year to Ash Wednesday in the next year.
It could be such a carnival session decoration.

            Regards
            Uwe
