    Car Boot Sale Ribbon Bar

    Hi,
I picked this up a few years ago at a car boot sale and have always wondered if it is an original ribbon bar or a post war mock-up?

Can't help you much, but I think that the 1 okt 38 medal has to come before the memeland medal...

blood order should not normally be on the ribbon bar as well and it would be odd to get the 39~ICII and the KVK with swords but there were always exceptions. I do not like the look of the 'tea' stains as well and I have know idea what the device is on what I think the red cross ribbon.

        lets see what others say.

The swastika device ribbon is the Social Welfare Medal 3rd Class. I have always had doubts as the ribbons look dirty on the front (with the exception of the Memel ribbon) but the back looks clean. Luckily it didn't cost me much and it was one of those 'nothing ventured...' moments.

This looks like a classic "Ohio" parts bar - a fake made from a mix of original/repro ribbons/devices.

            Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Looks like the first 3, ek, kvk and ost medal were on an original bar and then had the other parts added. Shame. Matt

I dont believe you will have much luck finding this guy's book... The bar is BS, in my opinion.

                        This bar is no good.

This is the first time I've seen the BO on a ribbon bar before.

They were to be worn exclusively on the right breast pocket right? (just to make sure).

I'm pretty sure that as an order, not a general award, that the blood order would not have been allowed on a ribbon bar. I think this is mentioned in Angolia's "For Fuhrer and Fatherland"

                            ribbon bars

ha!!!!!...i also have 1 of these, also brought due to the price, even with a gut feeling about the blood order being on the ribbon bar.

still it was cheap, and looks great on display.

                            enjoy,
