Hindenburg Cross Id

I have this Hindenburg Cross with no maker marks on the reverse. Is there any way to find out the maker? Was it common not to put a makers mark on the reverse of these crosses. Another thing is the ribbon ring is small compared to other medlas like EKII's and KVKII's etc. Here are scans of the obverse and reverse of the Hindenburg Cross

THere were so many manufacturers of these, I guess it will be very difficult if not impossible to pin point one name. A few members here have large collections of these so they may help. You may have more luck in the Imperial section. As for the size of the ring, I assume the medal was meant for a ribbon bar like this one....
