The box is for the Faithful Service Cross; basically a Civil Service Long Service Award which comes in 3 grades; 25 yrs, 40 yrs and a special grade of 50 yrs. The medal that you picture is the Army Long Service Award for 25 yrs, much rarer than the Faithful Service Cross. The Army LS awards comes in 4 patterns/5 grades: 4 yrs, 12, yrs, 18 yrs, 25 yrs, and 40 yrs (25 yr medal with a wreath on the ribbon).

looks like there is a makers mark on the ring... looks like it light be L/30 or L/38 its a partial stamp.

Its a fake look at the eagle head wrong and the pitting wrong colour wrong to shiny pitting to thick
