Yep - a door push plate. Use caution as there are lots of repros of these things. Others have been posted for comment before - you might try a general forum search.

I have one that I picked up cheap-- it a replica of the Reichs Chancellery door plates, and the design is by Arno Breker. I got mine to display with a signed Breker print my wife got for me-- he was a fantastic artist during and after the Third Reich period.
