    hi would anyone know was the victory in spain medal a military award or some kind of membership medal?
    any info would be great

    No, not a membership medal, although many people refer to it as the "Legion Condor" medal which is incorrect. The medal was awarded by the victorius Franco government to all nationalist participants in the war (military & civilian). The combatant medal has a black stripe on the outer edge of the ribbon, while the rear guard/non-combatant has green stripes on the edge. From what I understand, many of the medals were minted in Italy due to the shortage of materials in Spain immediately following the war. The medal is quite common on its own being minted well into the 1980s, if not later; but the medal is scarce when found on an original German medal bar.
