    1. Oktober 1938 (Sudetenland) Medal: Opinions Please

Here is a medal which I currently have on offer on the e-stand. See here:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=275650&page=2

There has been a comment that it looks like the "bignose/funnyfaces one". It came to me as a mint, unworn example with folded ribbon (which does not glow under black light) in a paper packet (that also does not glow).

As I would not want to be offering a fake due to a questionable proboscis, any and all comment to verify or otherwise vilify this particular medal will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

No worries, this is not the big nose fake.

Thanks very much, guys, for the prompt feedback which is much appreciated. I am glad to hear this. I am always ready to learn what others have to say about my medals and other militaria - even if it is not what I would prefer to hear sometimes.

I started collecting some 50 years ago before there were internet fora and reference books, not to mention the huge body of accumulated knowledge that exists today regarding post-war production medals and badges from original dies, to the sophisticated present day production of repros.

I suspect that there might be some bad or questionable pieces in my hoarde, much of which has not been put to the test of close scrutiny since it has been stored-away for years. Now in my retirement, it will be fun researching these as I dig them out and sort through, trying to decide what to keep and what to let-go.

              Thanks and regards,
              John
