I've always wanted to own an original one of these and found this one on a dealers site....the bumps are there underneath the 5 and above the 28X....it hasn't got the curly '9' but this isn't a good one ??

Any opinions appreciated...........Peter

This badge does tick all the right boxes and I am posting mine for comparison as it has always been regarded as 100% original.

The only thing that I can find absent from the one you have posted is the scar on the right hand side of the "5" in the top arm.

Stan....I just wondered whether this may be a new attempt at copying the badge. The bumps look a little too deliberate, not subtle like on your badge. There looks to be other slight differences in the numerals and letters.

I would be uneasy with the one posted. The pebbles are two distinkt, the pin should be steel.

would agree the first award is far too neat looking, with quite a few differences. All the best
