I'm not very much into collecting, but I have a handful of badges I'd like people's opinions on as to whether they're real or not. The one below I've had for about 14 years, it came attached to the holster for a 1912 Steyr .25 auto, with the usual story about how it was plucked from the boot of a dead German soldier.
I kept the badge and sold the holster, and assumed until I came across this forum that it was real, but after viewing pictures on this forum now I'm not to sure. There's no RZM mark, the "H" on Ges.Gesch. is crooked, and the second period is missing. So, what do you guys think?
