    Extremely rare ribbon bar

Here for your viewing is my latest purchase of 2 rare and 1 extremely rare ribbon bars that I got from e-stand. I think that ribbon bars are very underrated and still relatively inexpensive. They are in fact a snapshot of one's military/ service history.

Enjoy and of course opinions welcome.

    Regards,
    AB.

First is this 7 place ribbon bar with a prague castle bar and a rare embroided customs device.

You are right about ribbon bars.

And I miss "stogieman" and his huge ribbon bar sales on the e-stand.

Well, I belive that the last ribbon on the bar is Oder of King Zvonimir's Crown-civil-Independent state of Croatia.
That is rare to see it on so decoreted bar.

I must admit that like most I was never interested in ribbon bars at all. I knew very little about them but when I saw them on e-stand I did some homework and also searched here on the forum for info. Like all Militaria caution must be taken in regards to fakes but I am totally comfortable with these bars.

                        Now I'm hooked on them!

                        Here is the e-stand link.

                          AB- Nice score here!
If I'd had the funds I would have picked up a couple of these myself.

Although I've had 6 separate Customs bars in my ribbon bar collecting career (though I'm down to 4 right now), Customs bars are a bit uncommon, with the cloth version being the least common of them all in my experience. I currently have at least 3 variations of the Metal Customs device, but have yet to score a cloth one.

Also the 8 Year SS device is a nice one not to often encountered.
I have one on a 3 place bar, but generally speaking most SS or ribbon bar collectors find very elusive. It was only officially authorized for a very short period of time, hence the scarcity.

Ribbon bar collecting can be very addictive, so watch out!

If you ever need any help or info feel free to call on me.

                          Good luck!
