Metz Cufftitle

Gentlemen as a new member I needb your help with collecting
cufftitles. Currently I have the KRETA,AFRIKA,kURLAND CUFFTITLES
I am looking for a Metz cufftitle the reading I have done seems to
sugested that these cufftitles in oringinal form are all but impossible to get, is this true the reason I ask is because I saw
one on a site but according to the books they were made in the
SS style.
This one is nice but instead of a black background it appears to
be a dark green is this possible?

Originals are not made in SS style. They are embroidered in silver grey thread on black wool with silver grey Russia braid edging. Many fakes exist made in the style of an RZM type SS cuffband with embroiderey often in silver wire.
Originals are nearer to the manufacturing style of a Grossdeutschland band than any SS band and should always be in black, not green..

They are embroidered in silver grey thread on black wool with silver grey Russia braid edging.

If I were considering buying a METZ 1944 cuffband and it did not look like this...I would recommend not buying it:

and the end of the band. The METZ 1944 cuffband was constructed very similar to issue third style Großdeutschland cufftitles. The stitching across the end and the thick black wool base colth are points almost identical between the two.

bank robbing i will leave that to others. Right now just old fashion
