okay thanks for your reply, but it think the eagels head looks a little weird
because when you see the other eagels head on this kind of medal it looks totally diffrent

I thought the same thing. The eagles head looks really wierd. I've never seen one like this but I still think it's a good one.

Most likely just the way the photo was taken or

just speculating that the odd example is one that was struck later in the die's life time when it was wearing out

I concur with Tom, nothing odd about this one. The difference in the design is related to the different manufacturers. I once compared four 4 LS medals in my collection, they all featured different designs!!

Hi Monfort 4 and 12 year awards look like good originals, hard to tell about the eagles, personally i would n't discount them yet, although it will be hard to tell just going of pics. Any chance of a look at the pins? All the best

The 18 looks ok as well. A little salty (looks like rust ) if it is magnetic that is a good thing.

Sometimes pics like these (detailed macro shot) it is harder to tell than with a pic a liter further back, In this one the depth of field is a little shallow so it is hard to see the

The eagles are always a problem with this medals but are not to expensive to replace. Sometimes it better to buy them without the eagle then add one your self.
