While the design is quite different on the pendant for Post War medals, I'd be careful classifying all "wide" ribbons as post war.

The below example was picked up by my uncle in Italy in 1944. He then got transferred to Europe in late 44 before ending the war just inside Germany.

It has an unusual wide ribbon, but would not have received this post war ....

very nice medal in kriegsmetall rare to find interesting
notice about your ribbon the size? In the Brambilla's book if you
see the scan, the medal postwar (without fascio and svastika)
have the wide ribbon.

Whoever assembled the medal bar used a narrow piece of the correct ribbon to hang the Italian medal from and it looks really sharp. This medal has the typical Italian bar across the top instead of a ring. The mounting looks very professional.
I've seen this medal hung by string on other bars. Ammersee

Hi all,

The bar came in today. It looks good although a little aged. There is no glow in black light. The red ribbon is discolored to orange. The bird looks gold but actually the silver has faded and the brass is visible.

A nice bar that fits in my bar collection.
