it depends if you mean the war time ones or the post war ones?

        Welcome aboard
I am interested in the Blue Division medals. The wartime made ones are quite rare but this isn't really reflected in value as the demand isn't nearly as high as say EK I's which are more common but are worth more.
        Hope that helps a little.
        Ant.

Take a look here on the ring. Is that a "1" maker mark

I think that the real question is how does one tell a war time piece from a post war Spanish made piece?

                      Info...

                      Hello,

I'm no expert on these but have read and seen in photographs that the N in the word Division is backwards on the Spanish made awards. Also that their strike quality is inferior to those made by Deschler who had the sole contract to make the German issued model. I'm not aware of the status of Deschler at war end but if they were bombed out then any of theirs would be period. If not, or if you have a Spanish made model, then other authentication criteria will have to be used.

                      Hope that helps some.

                      Regards,
                      Stu

thanks for the input lads, the mark on the ring however apears to be a defect

That's definitely a very nice Deschler German made one with all it's finish My Deschler has lost all it's finish.
It's definitely a 1, at first i couldn't make it out on mine, they are very badly struck.
well done on a very nice purchase
By the way, on the topic of the Spanish made variant, i've never really bothered to list the differences as when you see one it is pretty obvious straight away.

                            another one lads !

I recently got three of these in their packets, though two without ribbon. Do they look alright to you guys ? I have no reason to doubt them, no number 1 on rings but all Deschler marked packets.
