German sniper badge

I just picked up a cloth German sniper badge - I would like to post a photo of it and get some opinions on it - can anyone help me on this?

Yes a Gold badge will not look like this one - this is the lowest of all 3 badges - it is for 20 kills - I aquired this badge from a vet in West Virginia last week in my travels.

Yes - I have done this already but not convinced from what I saw that this one is bad. Can someone send me a photo of an original one -being the same class as this one (20 kills) no border.

Are you only seeking opinions if they say it is an original?

In your first post you ask for opinions, then you dismiss an opinion it is not original by stating you just picked it up from a veteran, therefore implying that it must be an original.

I have also owned a number of originals and have seen others. This one does not have the same features.

Iam seeking to find it out if this is an original - that is all. Where and from whom it came from was added as additonal information only.

Good advice, Chet.

I'd also like to recommend paying for an association membership. It's just a measly $25 and you will be able to post your own pictures, not to mention take advantage of the 'members only' forums.

As for the patch, I have to say I have serious doubts regarding its authenticity. Sorry.

Well -everyone seems to say that this one is bad - but can anyone give me more details besides saying -its bad - what precisely is wrong - eagle beak, color, thread, size , etc....???

I have a patch like yours. I purchased it off ebay for $10.00 buy it now and $5.00 postage. With a little tea and a toothbrush mine will look exactly like yours in a couple of days.

There is no comparison of your patch to an original. The base material is wrong to begin with. The basic design is also incorrect.Please check out the other thread and compare them.

Here is my new aquisition.
