Interesting 1914 EK/ Hindenburg X-- those are final, wartime pattern swords, not the usual mid-1930s bar. All OK.

Nice small bars.
As Rick said, both sword devices are late wartime. I wonder that the guy with the EK and Hindenburg cross used to wear Uniform late in the war and did not even get a KVK to show there. But You see not all the Germans were "heroes" with 10-place ribbon bars and a dozend stickpins.
The Party long service ribbon should have a device but there are also some without that stuff around. I have no problem with that bar. IMO anyway it is useless to use a device when each ribbon is different.

No, not strange at all. Like Daniel said, each ribbon was a unique design so there was no question what the ribbon meant. The eagles were just "over the top" EXTRA "flash" to glitz up the "feathers" of Party peacocks.
Most Supermen Showoffs DID wear the unneeded devices. Some had a little more taste or restraint:Comment
