    What are these for??

Hello Guys,I'm confused on where to post these enquires that I have on this apparently a 'gebirgsjager' lot I just got.It consists of a unmarked wound badge,20+ photos and 3 cloth unknown to me patches.

Questions that I have...Hope to be enlighten

1)What are these green silverish patches for?For which era/country/unit?

2)Is the box a period one?>I only know that its from a watches company that is still operating.

3)Where are the 2 soldiers from in the photos?

Sorry to have post this in general awards but i just want to keep this intact, not half here and there..

I think the badges are Italian rank bars??
                    Check on the international forum.

                      Hi

That seems really wierd that they would be Italian or Austrian because they were obviously made in Germany. Bad Kreuznach is right around the corner from Frankfurt.

                        Photos

The man in the bottom looks like he is wearing a late or post WWI Austrian tunic. The other tunic looks Austro-Hungarian with the flaps so WWI or early post WWI Hungarian. They are both Gefreiters.

                          Hi

I think that this is just a missed bag of different items with no relationship to the other. The rank bars probably do not belong with the pictures.

Well things are coming together from these seems the pics are corporals from the

                            2nd legion brigade

of the Polish Legions (1914-1916) raised to fight the Russians in 1914 by Austro-Hungary

The silver collar tabs are most likely of that era or just after 1918 when there was no set pattern.

You might want to try the international forum a number of good Polish collectors hang out there.
