    soldier, who destroyed 3 tanks

Hello, guys! I m have information about obergefreiter ADOLF BRUCKLACHER (Jaegerregiment 40L). He has with own hand destroyed three tanks and got three Panzervernichtungs-abzeichen badges. How it is possible to check up this information? Whether there Are any lists the soldier who has destroyed 3 and more tanks the manual weapon? Thanks.

I have seen the odd list that has the top 10 and one with the top 20 (unauthenticated of course) but with only 3 your chap would be way down the bottom of the list with many hundreds of others.

      single handed destruction awards

I can't be sure but I read in one of my books (think a C.Ailsby book) where it refers to a guy tracked down by G.Williamson who had I believe 27 in total (5 gold and 2 black). Can't check it when I get home as all my books are packed up for my forthcoming move but this snippet of information should jog someones memory, regards Paul

It appears, not so it is simple, as it seemed. Somebody else has ideas?

I donĀ“t think there are (or ever were!) any lists or archive over soldiers and how many tanks they knocked out.

There is a book called TANK KILLERS by Thomas W Breyette and Roger James Bender put out by RJ Bender Publishing. It came out in 2000.

It documents the history of the badge and gives short bios of a number of the winners.

ADOLF BRUCKLACHER is not listed but that means little as there are a number of photos (13 in all) with the persons being unidentified.

The highest number of individual tank kills goes Oblt Gunther Viezenz with a total of twenty-one (21).

The reference is a good one.

Most have one, some have two, one has three, and one has four.

                Post the picture

Award lists do sometimes survive in the archives, for example i've just copied lists of KVKII and I awarded to members of the 2 Geb.Div. in the second half of 1943 and for the stab of the 20 Geb.Armee for 20 April '45.

If you are very, very lucky something might exist in the records of the 20 LW feld division or the Korps under which it served. Decorations you'll normally find under the records from the IIa and IIb staff (officers and enlisted men personnel record)
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
