Great job!! - and very good of you to post this for all of us to use.

I'm particularly interested in seeing these three crosses as big as you can possibly manage if you get the time... individually would be even better!

      regards

          Eks close

The 1939 exchange rate was 1 RM to .23 British Sterling and 2.50 US Dollars.

Frame choices are 'Uneckt" is non-silver, probably plate or a wash. 800/S is solid .800 silver. They were fairly inexpensive for what they were. The screw back German silver EK1 would have cost $4.80 in 1939 US Dollars, the equalvent of 24 dollars in todays dollar value.

If possible when you return, please may I see an enlargement of the Zivilabzeichen shown on post #9?

                Thanks

And would you believe it, the screwback and pinback EK1 have DIFFERENT cores! Indicates probable outsourcing to me.

That Marine WB looks to be an actual photo, based on the light reflections.

Many thanks for posting all the pics JH!

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

                        Steinhauer and Luck Catalog

I picked up a 1939 Steinhauer and Luck Catalog. If it would be helpful to forum members I can post this was well.

Also some people wanted additional images from the Beco Catalog. I am in the US and have access to my collection. I can scan specific awards until heading back to Mexico Friday.

                          Catalog

I received a number of emails and PMs requesting additional scans.

The images are airbrushed and are low resolution in the original photos. The images fall apart when scanned at high resolution due to the image quality and paper etc. The details that you see in the posted catalog is basically the limit of quality that can be achieved with scans at any level of resolution.

Also, an offer to send scans of a "specific awards"does not mean I will scan pages and pages of individual awards in high resolution. This is hours of work and in my opinion not a reasonable request. Please do not ask me to do this.

Pity they do not command the same prices nowadays

                            Very interesting item though
