    It's supposed to be a 5th Don Cossack Cross.

    'Supposed' is the operative word.

      All I can say is that the sign across says Kononov, which is a Russian last name.

        Kononov was the commander of the 5th Don Cossacks.

        Funny there's never been a photo of him wearing this cross!

          Thanks guys. I had no clue. Found it and this one in a box of surplus I picked up a month ago. I was just curious as what they were "supposed "to be .
