              1961? I thought it was 1946. Souval wrote that the Briitsh MPs had arrived at his shop and took the die for these medals-but they did not realize they only had one half of the device. The "Stempel" for these lies somewhere deep in the archives of the MI archive somewhere in London.
              Prof. Ed Haynes has done extensive and deep research on these medals-and met not a few of the INA over the years. His forthcoming book has a LOT of information regarding these medals.

                Here's mine

                Thoughts on this one? Ribbon is shaped wrong...but medal certainly looks old with plenty of patina... Sorry don't have an image of the back readily available...

                          yes- although as far as I know it is now in the "good luck if you can find it" catagory. The Indian army bought a bunch of the 1st edition.

                            I don't collect medals, but I must say that that Ron's collection of these Azad Hind
                            awards is INCREDIBLE. It must have taken many years to acquire.
