I wondered about the addition of swords to the 1914-18 Ehrenkreuz ribbon on this pair. But then it's the detachable medal type which could be worn as a ribbon bar, so why not?

The back is also interesting - brass catch and brass hangers but steel pin, all fixed to a steel plate. I peeked under the backing and there is no sign of any other pin having been there (I thought perhaps the original had broken off.) -
Yup, often see the extra swords being worn, even incorrectly with the actual Cross, on this style. Looks nice.Comment
