opinions on a couple of RAD medals needed

Hi
I would appreciate your views on these two medals. The first one to me does not look good. The ring is a strange oblong shape,the ribbon ring is copper and there is what looks like a funny rim around the bottom of the medal. Having said that for all I know this could be normal.

The second one is alot better and I think may have a chance of being original. Please let me know what you think

I think the same as you Andy-note the pitting in #1.
weight? dimensions? Have you dropped it on a concrete floor from @3 inches? If so, does it go "thud" or "tink"? It's an easy way to tell what its made of.

Hi Andy detail looks weak, and the pitting. Colour of the metal is not what i am used too. Are these the light or heavy weight versions. A side view may help. All the best.
