Mother Cross question

Were all 3 grades of these crosses awarded in a presentation case? I own a gold one in a case but the other 2 I have (bronze and silver) came without one so I would like to know if I need to keep searching.
Same question would also apply to the Hindenburg Crosses...Is it possible to find all three types in presentation cases?

Hi Terry

Can only be of assistance in relation to the mothercrosses. Based upon my information only the gold one came in a presentation case. The Silver and Bronze were issued in an envelope. I think the exception were the Crosses in brooch form and the miniatures. For these types blue cardboard boxes existe.

Honor Crosses were not issued in cases, the cases you see were private purchases. There are red and black cases, I think one is scarcer than the other but I do not remember which one nor what the difference is. It is possible to find all 3 types cased, but that would be a major project, they are rare.
