    Silver Mutters Cross - Opinions

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but non of the other forums look like the right place either. Bought this a while back and have been suspicious of it since I got it. Silver is too bright. disc with swastika is set crooked, and the ribbon is just slightly narrower than the bronze, gold, and other silver ones I have. Any opinions?

    Thanks
    John

Sorry, didn't realize how blurry the picture was until I posted it.

John, I think it might be okay.

The enamelling looks good showing the correct translucency, and the inscription on the back looks good aswell. I have handled very bright silver Mothercrosses and also duller ones so I wouldn't be unduly worried about that. I have also seen crooked swastika discs. From what I can gather these were applied to the cross, I am unsure of how they were adhered to it but it may have possibly been applied crookedly originally or it may have been repaired at a later date.

Have you tried a UV backlight to the ribbon?

Thanks for your input Richard. Good idea on the blacklight. I'll try that.
